The last few weekends have been pretty busy so make this weekend centered around what you want to do. I, Alex Newman, suggest holiday crafts and decorating. Since Halloween is around the corner and Thanksgiving follows quickly behind use this weekend to hangout at home and warm up your house with holiday cheer. Here is your Daily Dose brought to you by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce.
2. “SPoOkY” Box Letters Decoration. Try out a new way to decorate shelves, fire place mantels, or end tables. You can use this idea for any holiday or even spell names for birthday gifts. Walmart will have everything you need for this project!
3. Laramie Burlesque Presents: Imaginarium Masquerade. Tonight at the Gryphon Theater from 8:00 PM – 11:55 PM Laramie Burlesque Presents: Imaginarium Masquerade. The celebration of satire in all of its forms and often grotesque exaggeration, burlesque is not just one thing. The charming Johnny Knockers hosts Tropes Burlesque, Wyoming’s first and only burlesque troupe. Tropes Burlesque takes its cues from classic carnivalesque as coined by Mikhail Bakhtin, which means it subverts and liberates the assumptions of the norm through comedy and chaos. By mocking the current social structure we are able to contest assumed Truths. Equally important – we create healthy dialogue on sexuality, humanism and beauty, promoting a celebration of both sexes and all races, shapes and sizes. Finally, above all else, we entertain.
