How was everyone’s Halloween? We hope that you had plenty of Trick-o-Treaters and are now preparing for the next holiday, Thanksgiving. The best thing about this time of year is that the pumpkins are in holiday season for months, the decorations are constant and there is never a dull moment! Have you started thinking about your Thanksgiving plans? Well make sure you mark your calendars for November 24th which is the first drawing for Hometown Holiday Hurrah. The HHH shop local Promotion kicked off this morning and you can now start collecting your tickets at the participating businesses. 1. Winona LaDuke will discuss her latest book “The Militarization of Indian Country. Today from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM Winona LaDuke, an enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe (who lives with her family on the White Earth Reservation) will be specking at University of Wyoming Classroom building, room 129. She is an internationally acclaimed author and activist. A graduate of Harvard and Antioch Universities, LaDuke works in the arena of tribal community development and protecting lands and life ways of Native communities.
2. Wine Tasting at Northridge Discount Liquors. Tonight at 5:30 PM Learn about wine during our monthly wine tastings and sample new varietals presented by wine industry experts. The first Thursday of every month is a free Wine Event! Northridge Discount Liquors at the Northridge Shopping Center located at 1660 North 4th Street.
