It’s already Monday, the weekend goes by so fast. Hopefully you enjoyed some of the activities we suggested and created some fun memories. If you are too tired to cook tonight, be sure and try out a suggestion we have for getting out. Now, here is your Daily Dose brought to you by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce.
1. Do you have a craving for an amazing burger? Why not try a burger at Burger Xtreme, one of Laramie’s newest restaurants. The burgers are juicy with yummy toppings to satisfy the whole family. Did I mention that they have sweet potato French fries? If you have never been to this great burger experience, check out their Facebook page to see a menu. Located at 304 S. 3rd Street, they are opened until 8 p.m., Monday-Thursday and until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. You are going to need lots of napkins!
2. Who enjoyed the Oscars? Last night one of the most awaited awards shows took place but lets not forget the same awaited awards that were given out last Thursday to some of our beloved Chamber Members. Appropriately titled, An Evening with the Stars, the Annual Member Recognition Banquet is the LACC’s own Oscars. We recognized, thanked and awarded many people last Thursday and here is a recap:
The Castle Award is given to an individual of the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce Staff’s choosing. They are considered a dedicated volunteer who, above all, is a dear friend and generous member of the Laramie Community.
Castle Award Winner: Gary Strohm
The 2012 Chamber award winners were:
Business of the Year (Large)- Albertsons
Business of the Year (Small)- Mr. Jim’s Pizza
Jim Cavalli Service to Others- “Guest House Dream Team,” IMH Foundation Guest House- Tom Mangan, Paul Greaser, Guy Warpness, and Paul Shrierer.
Chamber Member of the Year- Megan Overmann-Goetz
Congratulations again to all of the award winners of Thursday night. You are all our stars and your actions are deserving of all awards given!
