Working together to save lives!

That’s the motto of BioLife Plasma Services, located on 1122 S. Adams Street here in Laramie, WY.  BioLife Plasma Services is a leader in the collection of high-quality plasma that is processed into life-saving plasma based therapies. The plasma collected at BioLife is processed into a wide variety of life-saving therapeutics. The plasma you donate is used in the treatment of serious disorders such as hemophilia and immune system deficiencies, and to treat victims of shock and burns. Plasma is not a substance that can be produced in an artificial environment; it can only be obtained from healthy adults.

Donating plasma at BioLife is a comfortable, quick process. It is a great way to spend some extra time because you know that your donation process is helping someone survive! They collect nearly 3 million liters of plasma per year! For new donors, the entire plasma donation process, including a physical examination, donor screening, and the plasmapheresis process, which is the automate process that plasma is collected through, usually takes about two hours. Repeat donors can expect to spend about an hour and a half I the center, with the process taking around 45 minutes. While you are donating plasma, you can read a book, watch TV, or even maybe get a little work done, all while making a little extra cash and helping to save someone’s life.

Donating plasma is a low risk procedure with minimal or no side effects. The donor’s vital signs will be checked throughout the entire process, and you will likely walk out the door feeling great. To donate plasma, the donor must be at least 18 years old and weigh at least 110 points. Each donor must also pass all other required donor eligibility criteria. Once you are in the system, healthy individuals can donate as often as twice in one week.

With your help, BioLife can obtain the plasma to help save a life!
