Renewed and Refreshed: The Cavalryman Steakhouse

cav logoThe Cavalryman has a rich and lengthy history in the Laramie community, but recently they have started a rebranding process that looks promising for their future. On Friday, May 2, the restaurant held their grand reopening celebration. The celebration included a ribbon cutting, live music, food and presentations of their historical past.

The restaurant is improving their image and food by rebranding. The transformation includes new décor to highlight the long standing history of the location, and ownership that the steakhouse has operated under. During a recent meal at the Cavalryman, General Manager Ken King told the table that they plan to line each wall of the main dining room with image boards showing the establishments history, these boards were unveiled at the reopening.

As a new practice for the kitchen and the restaurant, they are now trying to use local and regional meats. According to their website, “We support Wyoming Ranching families by offering steaks, chops, and other fare raised in Wyoming by sustainable ranching practices.”

Sometimes you have days where you would rather not know what the plan is and just go about things randomly. Today seems like one of those days. With the weather nice but not completely warm it seems like a great day to relax and just enjoy those around you. At work you can share your break time with someone you rarely get to talk to or make a phone call to you mom or dad that you always put off until later. Remember to always enjoy your day even when the stress tries to get the better of you. Here is your Daily Dose brought to you by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce

1. Grill Up Favorites! Tonight you can make dinner so easy by grilling up your favorite things on that BBQ that has had to sit all winter. While you are out waiting for the steaks, burgers, chicken, etc. to finish you can relax with the family. We suggest getting all your grilling favorites at The Butcher Block located at 1968 Snowy Range Rd. and they are ready to help you find whatever it is you are craving.

2. RELAX. Sometimes we forget that the best part about our lives is that we control them. Relax tonight and just enjoy your family and friends. You don’t need to do anything extravagant, just hang out and learn about their day, tell them about yours and remember that sometimes it is best to just make no plans.

See you all tomorrow!
